Better hurry before that SW Houston bunch gets them all.
Bosun, how many canes in all have you made?
...and the song to sing while looking for them.
{To the tune of The Candy Man as recorded by Sammy Davis Jr.
For Bosun, who makes some really fine canes and generously places them in caches!
(Cane man) (Hey, Cane man) Alright everybody gather 'round. The Cane Man is here. What kind of cane do you want? Straight? Curvy? Cherry wood maybe? You've come to the right man. 'Cause I'm the Cane Man!
Who can take a sapling, Whittle it real nice, Cover it in varnish, and not even charge a price?
The cane man, The cane man can, The cane man can cause he whittles a fine cane, a walking stick for you.
Have you ever fell down, Going up a hill, Who can help you, From taking such a spill?
The cane man, The cane man can, The cane man can cause he whittles a fine cane, a walking stick for you.
Now you can fight the snakes, That slither cross the trail. Whack 'em on the head, A Bosun's cane will never fail.
The cane man, The cane man can, The cane man can cause he whittles a fine cane, a walking stick for you.
The cane man makes. Every stick he takes, Practical and good looking. And if it's a pot of gumbo you're cooking You can stir with it, if no one's looking!
Aren't you glad you found one, In Bosun's Cane Cache? If it ever runs low, He'll make up another batch.
The cane man, The cane man can cause he whittles a fine cane, A walking stick for you. And the cane works good cause the cane man made it to.}

We (myself and ATMA) did it yesterday, we found the canes and only a log book with the canes. We did no actually find a cache container?
I wanted to leave one of my Bell Pepper geocoins but cound not due to there being no physical cache. We were no prepared to do cache fixen or we would have. Hopefully next time I'm over there I can stop back by the cache and leave my trade.

I hear the cane cache is low in stock, I do plan on restocking this week. Sorry to hear we all missed out on one of Pepper's coins. I'm sure all would have liked to see. Bosun

Hey Bosun, from reading some of the logs, it sounds like one or two cachers found the muggled green pipe with the old logbook in it and others have been finding the replacement cane bag. If you have a spare lid, you might be able to put the original cache back together. Of course, it would probably be a good idea to hide it a little better. Just my .02.

We know someone that found the container something like 75' from the bag of canes. When we logged this find with Pepper, we never did find the container but did take a cane. Very nice I must add.

Well the last cane is gone. Don't think it's going to be replenished as I hear that it will be moving to the North side of town. Thanks Bosun for providing the East Side Cachers with a nice walking stick.

Well Pepper, that is a fine cane you have there. You will be proud to know that Bosun used that very cane himself. He made a new one for himself and refurbished that one for the cane cache. You are one of few people that have a cane with the anchor and Bosun’s name on it. May be worth something one day.
Wonder how much those green peppers are going to be worth? Maybe I’m going to have to have a complete set of them.
