I tried to log them once and you told me I had to have a photo taken with them. Didnt have the camera that time. Be sure to bring them to the Down In The Boonies-Meet & Greet so we can catch them and get a photo. Good luck on your Baytown trip today.

ok back when I found "Bosun's Baytown Cane Cache" I took a cane and did not make a trade because there was no cache container (that we could find) to leave one of my Red Bell Pepper coins in. As I stated in my log I would be back to make such a drop well today was the day. Since I was in the area I stopped in and made the drop. I put a coin in a Dole Peach container with a note stating I was fullfiling my word. I placed the container right were the canes use to be. I found the empty black plastic bag and took it out with me along with all the trash in the area except one large white peice of plastic. When I got home to post a note on the cache page imagine my surprise when i found out it was archived! Dang I've made a lot of boo-boo's today. Any ole way there is a coin the woods waiting to be grabbed. My log for the cache dated February 18th, 2006 Pepper confused, always! The coords were dead on, we saw the bag with canes and for some reason assumed the cache was near by so we continued looking...Dohhh we just could not find the cache container. Finally we gave up on the cache and took a look at the cane's and what do ya know the log book was in the bag with the canes, who'd uh thunk? I wanted to leave Bell Pepper geocoin but there was no cache container, I took a cane and will have it always. Next time I'm in the area I'll see if there's a cache container and drop a coin for the cane. thanks Pepper coords n29 43.567 w094 59.740 please take the container out with you, please Pepper

Oops...just another mistake among many I'm sure I'll make in the future! The replacement log WAS in the empty bag, that was in the trunk of my car along with all the garbage. Well I saved the log, ironed it and well it's good as new (kinda). Oh by the way my trunk is clean now also. ;D one mystery solved

I thought it was for Bosun being that the cane cache is a gift cache, no trading takes place, just get your cane. Maybe no one logged that they took it cause they don't know you can still post a log or note on a cache even if it's been archived, you just have to log in at GC.com first. Bosun's Baytown Cane Cache

I regret all the confusion, the first cane cache was in a large 8inX5 PVC pipe with with canes and logbook, but it came up missing or moved, I then replaced it with canes in a large plastic bag along with a log book, all canes have been depleted so i archived the cache. thanks to all who visited, so if one runs across the PVC pipe remove it , good to see Pepper used the plastic bag to trash out with. as far the Pepper coin goes I'm sure i will get one soon. 8-)Thanks

If I head back in there I'll remove it for you. Do you want it back or just recycle it? WTT-B2

If anyone is in the area please recycle that container, you may even check on Little Johnny's Sight ,or even the Knot Hole caches in the area. I now plan on placing the next cane cache in Alvin, or in the Piney Woods Bosun

Next time I'm by that way, Bosun, I'll grab the container. That way I can be FTF and LTF! But it's such a nice container I'd like to get it back to you somehow. Are you planning on going to any of the events later this month? I'm going to try to make all of them, so maybe I could bring it to you.
